Nose: Diced almond, cherry
bakewell,

Bowmore 1988 Vintage Edition
No.2 is inspired by the fragrant
notes of Eastern Asia displaying
citrus, spice and sweet and
creamy aromatics.
Distilled in 1988, hand selected
parcels of 1st fill ex-bourbon
hogsheads have unlocked
the tastes of charred lime,
lemongrass and grapefruit,
the scent of sandalwood and
the flavour of caramelised
mango and toffee apple.

sweet fudge, butterscotch and blueberry syrup
alongside seaweed and lavender fragrance.Sip: Floral with Parma violet candies and light spices,
lilies and hyacinths complementing a light peaty and mineral character. Almond, marzipan and a touch of aniseed also contribute to the overall fragrant
character of this Islay dram.

first-fill Bourbon hogshead casks in the distillery’s No.1
Vaults.
Matured for 24 years, the Bowmore 1995
is limited to 234 bottles and will
be avialable to buy from Heinemann's Instanbul Airport store
from 28 November 2020.
The 53.3% cask strength
expression has a “lightly peated” nose with sweet and spice
notes, along with herbal, dry thyme, mint and eucalyptus notes.
The palate offers “light
peat reek and bonfire, with spicy and sweet heather honey, mead,
floral notes of lilies of the valley and magnolia”, as well as
savoury notes of barbecued pork ribs and seaweed.
Meanwhile, the
1997 offering was matured for 22
years and bottled at 52.6%. It is limited to
236 bottles, which are available to
buy from 21 November 2020 at Heinemann’s outlet in Frankfurt
Airport. |
